Joanne Day is Trumpet, Inc.'s lead developer and trainer. Joanne’s experience working as a staff planner convinced her that many processes performed in a financial planning firm could be improved through the use of technology.
Her prior work experience designing communication systems for businesses, coupled with her insider’s perspective of how financial planning firms operate, give Jo a unique insight into creating and streamlining workflow. Jo holds a Master’s degree in Communication from the University of Florida.
Kevin Day is Trumpet, Inc.'s lead system integrator. His primary focuses are leveraging technology to streamline workflow and using technology and software features to their fullest advantage. Kevin grew up with close ties to the financial planning community and has long been a technology advisor to advisors.
Prior to founding Trumpet, Kevin worked as a design engineer in the technology industry where he was awarded a patent for his innovations. He has 8 years experience with system design, software programming and process workflow. Kevin holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Georgia Tech.
Kevin and Jo’s combined experience gives them unique insight into technology applications for financial planning firms, enabling them to speak the language of financial planners, entrepreneurs and system administrators alike.
In addition to being guest technology columnists for the Journal of Financial Planning, Kevin and Jo speak to financial planning organizations throughout the country on the topic of office technology and automating workflow.
